https://asperformance.com/uncategorized/ehqk323r All these messages were exchanged to plan a meeting until the day came when I was near Bern, waiting for her to send me her location, and I finally realised that Karin lives two blocks from my apartment in Zurich. “You’re not the first person to believe that I live in Bern.” – Karin smiles as she invites me into her comfortable and tasteful home. From the very first minutes I am blown away by the beauty of the room that Karin has furnished with style. She is polite and inviting and offers me a beer “I have noticed that you like drinking”. I suppose, although my hangover from the previous evening still befuddles me. She shows me around her apartment, where many of her works of art are presented.

I first contacted Karin because I had heard about her work from a mutual friend. I immediately fell in love with her visual universe and her beautiful projects. The 35-year-old woman, who comes from the field of fashion design, creates and accustoms her art in panel forms. Karin created an entire visual universe inspired by the surf lifestyle, painting patterns and stunning images on surfboards and skateboards or combining images with graphic elements. Driven by this boarding world, Karin uses her craft to create pieces that others can enjoy and decorates their homes with this surf-like yet artistic spirit.

http://countocram.com/2024/03/07/pmeiyia https://www.goedkoopvliegen.nl/uncategorized/fp2n7mgsx You come from a fashion design education. Tell us about your background and how you came to paint on surfboards? For as long as I can remember, I have always liked to dress up, and even as a little girl I liked to draw my own design dresses. So after my apprenticeship as a commercial clerk I decided to study fashion design. During my studies I realised that I was always more interested in the process of creating and drawing dresses than in the sewing itself. Drawing and painting was always a big part of my life. One day I asked a good friend of mine if I could paint a picture on one of his surfboards, and I liked it a lot! But the real obsession started after I designed some surfboards for Urban Surf Zurich – because of my interior design job. That’s how it all started.

For me, a surfboard is like a work of art in itself. And that is what fascinates me. I try to make art into art. To create a unique piece. A one-off.

https://fotballsonen.com/2024/03/07/bof25a0lxti When I look at my very first surfboard and my latest works, my style and technique have changed a lot. I always try to find some new materials, challenges, styles that I can combine on a board. Most of the time I have a clear idea in my head for each individual board. And I realized pretty soon that this is actually an expensive hobby 😉

Tramadol 200Mg Online We all have seen art on surfboards, but you have created a unique surf-art world with different patterns, different materials, fabrics… What is your creative process and what are you aiming for? For me, surfing is a lifestyle, and it’s about freedom and travelling the world. I try to connect and unite these worlds through my art – the world of surfing, my love for art and interior design, to make it accessible to a wider community. For the future I also want to design more boards that are surfable. And generally create more mixed media art, not only surfboards, but also more skate decks, big canvas paintings, collages, graphics etc. or various collaborations.

And how are you planning to overcome them? I think to be really successful in what you do is a long way and a lot of hard work. My artwork is unique and rather a niche product compared to the commercial market. It’s something I invest a lot of passion, emotion and also financial effort in. Creating art is always a journey of ups and downs. It is a kind of personal growth in every single work of art. But the most important thing for me is that I enjoy what I do, and I appreciate the support I receive from my family and friends, and the positive feedback from my clients makes me most happy.
