Meet Aaron

https://www.goedkoopvliegen.nl/uncategorized/u0y6quad I met Aaron a few years ago during my first season in Laax and our paths kept crossing until we eventually became good friends. He has always supported me with good inputs and enriching advices.

https://www.mominleggings.com/i9i4nai Aaron spent most of his youth in Canada where he studied fine art and graphic design. The young man then moved to Switzerland and began to shift his focus towards photography, specifically in the mountains where he gets a lot of his inspiration from. Aaron is a kind and thoughtful person who will always take the time to have a proper chat with others.
This is not my first article starring Aaron’s work but this time I turned things around and asked him to ride for me. That’s right, I forced Aaron to take his Korua board and join me on an early morning mission in front of my lens. It was with great pleasure that our team work succeeded to capture some smooth carving shots.

Can U Get Tramadol Online Aaron: Since a few years now you have been working with Korua Shapes. What is your position there and how does your season with Korua look like?

I met Nicholas Wolken in Laax in November 2014 where I was just shooting with friends (like James, who then introduced to me to Nicholas). A week later we made plans to shoot again. Severin Van Der Meer and Markus Keller also joined us. Turned out a few of those pictures got used to promote / announce their first sales season (2014/15). That was kind of how I got involved and how I got to know the brand / the people behind it. A few weeks later I had an art exhibition, for which I asked if they had a board I could draw on. They gave me the first original prototype of the Apollo shape, which is now in Nicholas’ living room at his home in Chur. I guess through photography and art and later on also freelance graphic design projects I collaborated with Korua more and more. At one point, I took over managing their social media platforms, creating content and posting on their Instagram and Facebook pages. Eventually it made sense to become part of the team on a more permanent level, so since last summer I’ve been put on a part-time contract where I’m in charge of “Content & Design” – creating content and taking care of anything graphic that needs to be done. I’ve since been working closely with Steaphan Maurer to drive the creative direction of the brand. Throughout the season we snowboard a lot, shoot photos and go filming, gather as much content as possible that we can then use to push the brand forward in every which way. The days not spent on the mountain are spent in the office taking care of anything behind the computer – emails, editing, graphic design, stuff for the website, discussing ways to improve the brand, brainstorming new shapes, sorting through content, planning posts, scrolling through Instagram, answering direct messages on the social channels, running the pop-up showroom / watering the plants / giving out boards for people to try / talking about product, etc. That kinda daily shit.

http://countocram.com/2024/03/07/5jpngst https://ncmm.org/jd39ksgun Your passion is a mix between photography and art, with Korua you get to do both and you also get to travel. Dream job?

https://fotballsonen.com/2024/03/07/y372c3dlwa Yes indeed. Graphic design, photography and art are my passions. And snowboarding, of course. With Korua I can do all of the above. It can be considered a dream job for sure. When I was in high school I always dreamt of a job in a creative field that somehow was connected to snowboarding, so that part I’ve now finally reached. The funny thing is, back then I dreamt of designing snowboard graphics – now I work for a snowboard brand that has no graphics on their boards. But it’s all good, I’m stoked I can do the things I love the most and make a living that way. I feel very fortunate and grateful for that.

https://tankinz.com/6b27ips You also work for Riders Hotels’s social media platforms, do you get some time so shoot other personal ideas?

Yes, I run the Riders Hotel Instagram account. I was involved in the rebranding process of the hotel and took care of the graphic design side things. At one point during the rebrand project we discussed social media, and Roger asked if I was interested in curating the feed and shooting for the hotel, which I was excited about and quickly agreed to. With Korua and Riders, and the Tidal art show I hosted in early March, it left little to no time for personal projects this past winter. Things slow down a little during the summer though, so I can shift my focus a more towards other freelance work and clients, as well as creating art and tending to personal projects.

https://asperformance.com/uncategorized/6x8uv03ikou How will your summer look like and what direction would you like to take? personal projects?

Summer still seems so far away at this point, hahah. The mountains in Engadin and also Engelberg are still open for a few weeks, so there’s still plenty of shooting / filming opportunities we’re looking to take advantage of as long as we still can. Mt. Hood for Holy Bowly is under consideration as well. Should be a blast!

Otherwise as of now I don’t have anything booked for the summer – vacations or trips of any kind – nothing is set in stone yet. Unfortunately the Ethos show in Oslo will skip a year, but I’d still like to visit Norway again like I did last year. Possibly combine that with a little stay in Copenhagen to visit Nick and edit all my winter photos at Thank You Studio – again, like I did last year. It was a great place to spend some time an do somewhat of a editing vacation. New York and Vancouver are always on the list of places to visit in the summer, to visit friends and family and enjoy the city life I’m fairly far removed from during the winter months. If not, I can settle for some time in Zurich – another beautiful place to hang out with good friends I don’t see much otherwise.
In terms of projects both freelance and personal I’m open to anything – get at me guys! Hahah. I’ve got some stuff going for the Manboys crew in Whistler and otherwise still Korua things to take care of, but otherwise fairly open to accepting work of any kind. If I find myself with time on my hands I’d like to explore those travel options mentioned above, and do some painting on my balcony and swimming in the Caumasee at home in Flims.
